Frugal Install
A frugal install (sometimes known as a 'poorman's install') retains the 'live' nature of Wolvix - it is simply a copy of the Wolvix
LiveCD running from hard disk. This has the advantages that it is bootable from GRUB, it runs much faster than from CDROM, and it frees the CDROM device for other use. A frugal install may be upgraded as above, or by installing modules using the 'uselivemod' command (both of these require a persistent changes directory to retain modifications between boots) or by adding modules to the
wolvix/base/ or
wolvix/modules/ directory in the frugal install partition.
