Installation
To get Opera running, you need to do this:
- Go to www.opera.com/download
- Select Slackware as the distro, and choose version "Slackware 11.0, 12.0"
- Click Download, choose a directory where you're sure you'll find the .tar.gz file
- When the download is completed, navigate to the .tar.gz file, and unzip it either by right-clicking it in Thunar and select "Extract here", or by running the command "tar -xzvf opera*.tar.gz" in a terminal window.
- Navigate to the folder with the same name as the tarball
- From a terminal, do "./install", and follow the instructions
- When finished installing, run the command "opera", and see for yourself.
Enjoy!
